Chapter NO - Nipissing Riders
Welcome all who share the principles of freedom
fun and friendship. We all enjoy riding motorcycles.
Our purpose: to bring people together,
become friends and enjoy motorcycling.
Nipissing Riders Chapter NO ( Northern Ontario ) achieves this with our outgoing demeanour. We promote safe riding, fun and laughter.
Our structure is simple.
As part of the Touring Association,
we are member driven. As a
chapter
and riding group we are concerned first
with our immediate chapter members.
We encourage and organize activities
of interest that relate to our motorcycles
and members. We ride together and
nobody is left behind. We ride safe.
Voting rights are with
all members at all meetings. All
members are encouraged to participate in
all events and are encouraged to attend
regular meetings whenever possible.
Any
member can be appointed as an officer. Bike
ownership is irrelevant. Executive
officers work together to execute the will
of the chapter members.
As a chapter we sit within
a terrritory of Region J which
sits within the international framework
of the GWTA. Region J includes the provinces
of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova
Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland
and Labrador.
Our immediate area includes
fourteen chapters, many activities
and many opportunities which are available
to each member. These fourteen chapters
are within Ontario. Each chapter
offers oppertunity rides and events that
we can all attend or just visit.
Our chapter puts together two main events during
the year. We organize a Good Will Ride in honour of
our seniors. We do this by visiting two different nursing
homes. Our second event is the Fall Fun Weekend with
poker runs, horseshoes, dinner, auction and the secret
ceremony
of the
League of the Loon.
We are not a charity fundraiser
group. Instead
we participate and support worthy causes
as riders. We choose our charity runs, rides and events
that are usually organized outside of our chapter.
Our level of participation
is decided by our members.

We ride to many other events that are put
on by different chapters and different groups.
Often they are cause driven such as cancer, women's
shelters etc. They are all meetings with different
bikers who care to make changes for the good and
betterment of all. We welcome all
to participate and just have fun.
In TA you will meet lots of people who have
one thing in common, a passion for motorcycling.
When you decide to become actively involved, special
friendships will be a byproduct of that involvement.
